New Flyer Named One of Canada's Greenest Employer for 2010
New Flyer Industries Canada ULC has been named as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for 2010 for the third consecutive year by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. Employers were evaluated based on earth-friendly initiatives that involve employee participation, the degree to which environmental values have been integrated into the corporate culture, and how well these initiatives are attracting both employees and customers to their organizations. Other employers selected for the 2010 list included Hewlett-Packard (Canada) Co., The Home Depot Canada, IKEA Canada Limited Partnership, KPMG LLP and Royal Bank of Canada.
New Flyer offers the industry’s broadest selection of heavy-duty transit vehicles, all of which incorporate clean technologies. We have taken measures to minimize the impact of our products and production facilities on the environment, such as implementing low-VOC products to reduce emissions and managing the safe disposal of hazardous waste generated in the manufacturing process. New Flyer’s shop-floor employees are the heart of our pollution prevention activities and employee education is critical to our success.

Where possible, New Flyer operates “satellite” recycling depots for the convenience of our employees and we offer preferred parking to employees participating in carpools.
