New Flyer Industries Inc. (TSX:NFI.UN) (“New Flyer” or the “Company”), the leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit vehicles in Canada and the United States, is pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Joseph to the position of Executive Vice President Operations effective July 21, 2008. 

Wayne brings to New Flyer a proven track record in bus manufacturing management over a 35-year career. He will be responsible for bus manufacturing operations and will provide direct leadership to the following functional groups: Supply Management, Engineering Services, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, and Program Management. 

Wayne will replace Michel Aziza, who has announced his retirement effective August 19, 2008 after six years with New Flyer.
