Winnipeg, Manitoba, August 3, 2004 – New Flyer has been notified that the management system for all three of its divisions - Winnipeg, Manitoba; St. Cloud, MN and Crookston, MN – has been recertified for continued ISO 9001:2000 registration.  New Flyer’s Winnipeg and Crookston divisions first received ISO 9001 certification in 1998, and St.Cloud was first certified in 1999.

“We are pleased that we have received this critical re-registration,” said John Marinucci, President and CEO of New Flyer.  “This is further demonstration of our commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.”

The recertification is the result of a week-long, audit of the entire system to ensure that the quality management system conforms to standard.  ISO certification is important to New Flyer because it ensures continuous improvement in product reliability, on-time deliveries, and communication, all of which directly benefit customers and strengthen relationships.

The ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Standard is designed to assist organizations in achieving globally-recognized quality standards by providing requirements for quality systems, policies, resources and infrastructure components.
