On December 20, 2005, New Flyer Industries Inc. (TSX:NFI.UN) announced that it had received new bus orders including option conversions from eight transit customers totaling up to US $210 Million. One of the eight customers, the Fairfax County Department of Transportation, Fairfax, VA, was reported in error to have placed orders for thirty-six 40-foot buses. Contracts for the seven remaining customers listed in the December 20, 2005 release are all currently in place and total up to [543] buses representing up to US $198 Million in new contracts, including new orders, option conversions and new options.
