New Flyer Industries Inc. (TSX:NFI.UN) (“New Flyer” or the “Company”), the leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit vehicles in Canada and the United States, announced today that total new orders reported during fiscal 2008 totaled 4,815 buses (6,690 equivalent production units or “EUs”) for a total of US $2.78 billion in orders.
Dec/18 - New Flyer names Paul Soubry as next President and CEO
The Board of Directors of New Flyer Industries Inc. (TSX: NFI.UN) (“New Flyer" or the "Company”) today announced the appointment of Paul Soubry as the Company’s next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 19, 2009. He will succeed John Marinucci who is retiring from that role effective the same date, and will continue as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Mr. Marinucci will remain as a senior executive with New Flyer until the end of March, 2009 in order to help manage the transition process.
Dec/11 - New Flyer Receives Bus Orders Valued at Over US $1 Billion
New Flyer announced today that it has received orders, including firm orders and options, over the last three months for up to 1,482 buses (2,412 equivalent production units or “EUs”) for a combined value of US $1.004 Billion. Of these orders, 1,294 buses (2,224 EUs) are new orders and 188 buses (188 EUs) are exercised options. These orders, when combined with previously reported orders, bring the total number of buses ordered to date in 2008 to 4,815 (6,690 EUs) representing a total of US $2.78 billion in sales.
Oct/14 - New Flyer Receives 845 Bus Orders Valued at US $484 Million
New Flyer announced today that it has received orders over the last three months for up to 845 buses (1,162 equivalent production units or “EUs”) for a combined value of US $484 million.
