On Sunday, November 29, 2009, Community Transit in Everett, WA launched
SWIFT, its new BRT service. SWIFT is the first BRT service in
Washington state. Fifteen new BRT-styled, 60-foot New Flyer buses will
be used on the route, which is the longest BRT route in North America.
The buses feature advanced styling, three plug doors and three on-board
bicycle racks. Pictured above is Joyce Eleanor, CEO of Community
